Who is Karla Kellum

The above is "ME" with my dog Gizmo!   I got Gizmo in November of 2004 and we have been partners is crime ever since.  He works at home with me everyday, well "he" works on distracting me to play with him all day and insures I have breaks. 

As you may have or will see from my site and blog "I love purple!"  All shades of purple and I love making graphics.  I began working on websites and making graphics back in June of 1999 and thanks to many free tutorials online I believe I have gotten pretty good at it, if I can say so myself.  In August of 2006 I moved into the exciting world of Digital Scrapbooking and now put my time in making graphics that help others create a lifesong of memories.  My designer name is Lifesong Kreations...this season of my life gives me great joy!!! 

I did try getting my hands dirty in gardening, but found out my thumbs only get black no green anywhere.  Our soil isn't the best I imagine and I'm not certain what I will need to do.  We put in a waterfall and pond as well.  I enjoy the garden each year up until I get to the third time of weeding then I've about had enough.

I was born in Grand Rapids, MI on May 19, 1967 and I am the oldest of three.  I have a brother Brian who is 3½ years younger and then my little sister Krista who is 7 yrs younger.  I have two teenage children Matthew and Kate who are typical teenagers and Whoa... Matthew just completed drivers training and can drive now! Yikes!  They grow so fast.  I was a single mom for 9 years and then on April 27, 2002 I married a wonderful man named Owen and we are a "happily ever after story" and God willing until death do we part.

I grew up in a Christian home, but didn't come to salvation until October 1994.  All my life I thought that I had to get my life straightened out first before I could have a relationship with God and from 1985 to 1993 my life was certainly a mess.  Well, come to find out, we all are a mess and are totally dependent on God's Grace to believe in Christ as our Savior.  I am excited to report that Christ has done quite a bit of work on me since 1994.  Everything that I have, am or will be is because of Him.
